Free Online Chiptune Maker

BeepSynth is a free chiptune music maker that runs entirely in your browser. Press the pads on the beep board to play retro 8-bit sounds, layer them into melodies, and sketch out song ideas — no downloads, no sign-up, no music theory required.

What Can You Do With BeepSynth?

Beep Board: the main chiptune soundboard. Trigger bleeps, bloops, and arpeggios to build retro melodies and video-game-style sound effects in real time.

DJ Board Pro: a performance pad layout for triggering sounds and clips live, like a pocket launchpad. Try DJ Board Pro.

Digital Piano: a full interactive piano keyboard for playing melodies the traditional way. Try the piano.

Theremin: wave your cursor or finger to bend pitch and volume like the classic sci-fi instrument. Try the theremin.

How To Make a Chiptune Loop

1. Tap pads on the beep board to hear each sound.
2. Find 3–4 sounds you like — a bass beep, a lead bleep, and a percussion hit is a solid start.
3. Tap them in a repeating rhythm. Short, punchy patterns loop best.
4. Hum a melody over the top, then recreate it on the beep board.

That's chiptune: simple waveforms, catchy repetition, and attitude. Everything you make is yours to keep, including for commercial projects.
